Legal or normative requirements regarding various safety requirements, which are required, for example, in public spaces, are met through chemically tempered glass according to EN 12337, thermally tempered monolithic safety glass according to DIN EN 12150, or laminated safety glass according to EN 12543. UV and IR reflective properties can be incorporated into the glass through the use of special films. When combined with polycarbonate, composite glasses are produced that can absorb the highest impact energies without endangering the user on the opposite side.
